Job Description: Dishwasher
Position Classification: Part-Time / Non-Exempt
Reports To: Manager on Duty
Position Summary
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen and dish areas. You’ll ensure dishes, utensils, pots, and pans are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for use, supporting a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. This position requires teamwork, energy, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and break down dishwashing stations and equipment.
- Operate dish machines and verify proper functioning; report defects immediately.
- Follow preventive maintenance procedures to keep equipment in good working order.
- Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, pots, pans, and utensils according to company procedures.
- Pre-soak items as needed and monitor water temperature to ensure sanitary practices.
- Remove trash from dish areas and maintain clean and sanitary garbage cans.
- Keep the dish room clean, organized, and safe, including detergent stations and floors.
- Mop floors and maintain a safe, dry work environment.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and service team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements
- Stand and move quickly for up to 8 hours per shift.
- Bend, stoop, and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Work in environments with wet floors, high temperatures, and occasional loud noise.
- Maintain energy and focus in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
