Job summary

Intermountain Health at Intermountain Medical Center Nutrition Services is seeking a Working Lead for the dishroom. The role provides leadership to the Nutrition Steward team, ensures sanitation and safety, and supports workflow efficiency in a hospital setting.

The position requires lift and reach capabilities, strong communication, and ServSafe/food handler certifications per state requirements. Shift pattern is full-time with varied AM/PM hours and a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English and utilize computer systems to perform supervisory responsibilities.
• Minimum of one year of experience working in a high-volume dishroom within a team-oriented environment.
• At least six months of experience in a lead or team leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Leads and maintains workflow of assigned area and ensures tasks are completed.
• Cleans and sanitizes dishes.
• Collects carts with patient trays from hospital floors.
• Cleans and disinfects assigned areas including dining areas using department cleaning procedures.
• Uses cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
• Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash.
• Operates and maintains assigned equipment (e.g., commercial dishwasher) according to established procedures.
• Supports a disciplined environment and provides after hours supervision in the absence of the supervisor.
