Job summary

Hy-Vee in Oregon is hiring a Dishroom Clerk for the Market Grille. You’ll help keep dishes, utensils, and the kitchen clean while delivering friendly service to customers in a fast-paced environment.

No formal education is required, and six months or less of related experience is preferred. You’ll stand, move, and stay active during shifts while following safety and hygiene standards with training provided.

Qualifications

• No formal education requirement; six months or less of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk frequently during shifts.
• Follow detailed written or verbal instructions and perform tasks with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and making every interaction positive.
• Wash department equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, and pans thoroughly and consistently.
• Handle food safely and ensure the work area is always clean and neat.
• Remove trash in a timely manner and take department garbage to the compactor or designated area.
• Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers who call.
• Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed and take on special projects as assigned.
• Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene, dress standards, and all Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines.
