Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Dishroom Clerk for our Market Grille team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You’ll keep dishes, utensils, and equipment spotless while supporting a safe, clean, and efficient work area.

This role emphasizes teamwork, timely tasks, and adherence to Hy-Vee policies to ensure great service for customers. The position is hourly, with no formal education requirement, and six months or less of related experience is acceptable.

Qualifications

• No education requirement; six months or less of similar or related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile.
• Wash department equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, and pans thoroughly and consistently.
• Handle food safely and ensure the work area is always clean and neat.
• Remove trash in a timely manner and take department garbage to the compactor or designated area.
• Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers who call.
• Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed and take on special projects as assigned.
• Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene, dress standards, and all Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines.
