Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Dishroom Clerk to support the Market Grille by keeping dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment clean and ready for use. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, orderly, and efficient kitchen environment while delivering friendly service to customers and team members.

Responsibilities include washing and sanitizing items, assisting on other store areas as needed, and upholding Hy-Vee policies.

Qualifications

• No education requirement.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and making every interaction a positive one.
• Wash department equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, and pans thoroughly and consistently.
• Handle food safely and ensure the work area is always clean and neat.
• Remove trash in a timely manner and take department garbage to the compactor or designated area.
• Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers who call.
• Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed and take on special projects as assigned.
• Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene, dress standards, and all Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines.
• Report to work when scheduled and on time.
