Job summary

Evolver is a cybersecurity and digital transformation company supporting national defense, federal civilian agencies, and Fortune 500 organizations. This Discovery Paralegal position requires an Active TS Clearance and to work onsite 5 days a week in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities include analyzing requests, locating responsive material, preparing declarations, performing privilege reviews, and coordinating with FBI and DMS teams to ensure timely, accurate document production.

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret Clearance.
  • Two years of paralegal experience
  • Two years' experience discovery/e-discovery
  • One year of experience performing privilege and other substantive reviews on litigation support projects.
  • One year of experience reviewing electronic and paper materials for privilege on litigation support projects.
  • One year of experience using an eDiscovery review platform (e.g., Clearwell, Relativity) to identify and redact privileged information.
  • One year of experience researching and drafting responses to interrogatories.
  • One year of experience obtaining documents for document collection and production.
  • One year of experience communicating and driving litigation projects forward with clients and/or attorneys.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret requests from customers
  • Research, locate, and gather material responsive to DMS requests including conducting outreach and informal interviews
  • Assist in preparation of declarations
  • Scan paper materials to save as an image file (e.g., .PDF)
  • Conduct responsiveness reviews of both ESI and paper materials
  • Conduct legal privilege reviews using Symantec Clearwell, Adobe Pro with Redax, or other document review platforms provided
  • Analyze documents and apply deletion codes to diverse types of privileged information
  • Review the work of peers for accuracy and provide constructive edits
  • Support effective teams to foster teamwork and planning and decision making
  • Organize and maintain accurate records of assigned requests
  • Prepare electronic and/or paper releases for release to customers
  • Provide a high degree of professionalism and customer service in all interactions with DMS customers
  • Prioritize and schedule projects to accomplish objectives
  • Coordinate classification reviews with subject matter experts
  • Maintain close collaboration of projects with discovery team members
  • Serve as consultant to government employees regarding privilege application and document production
  • Communicate with employees at all levels of the FBI to complete projects
  • Provide weekly statuses to management and periodic updates to Assistant General Counsels and other DMS customers
  • Conduct searches of FBI systems and databases to retrieve responsive documents or files

This position Discovery Paralegal requires an Active TS Clearance and to work onsite 5 days a week in Washington, DC

Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain accurate records of assigned requests. This includes keeping detailed case notes, utilizing discovery plans, using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, and entering case information into appropriate databases
  • Prepare electronic and/or paper releases for release to customers
  • Provide a high degree of professionalism and customer service in all interactions with DMS customers
  • Prioritize and schedule projects to accomplish objectives
  • Coordinate classification reviews with subject matter experts
  • Maintain close collaboration of projects with discovery team members
  • Serve as consultant to government employees regarding privilege application and document production
  • Communicate with employees at all levels of the FBI to complete projects with a high degree of professionalism
  • Provide weekly statuses to management and periodic updates to Assistant General Counsels and other DMS customers
  • Conduct searches of FBI systems and databases to retrieve responsive documents or files (i.e., Sentinel, Internal Policy Office Policy Library and Policy Archives)

Basic Qualifications

  • One year of experience reviewing electronic and paper materials for privilege on litigation support projects involving paper documents and electronic files.
  • One year of experience using an eDiscovery review platform (e.g., Clearwell, Relativity) to accurately identify and redact privileged information.
  • One year of experience researching and drafting responses to interrogatories.
  • One year of experience obtaining documents for document collection and production.
  • One year of experience communicating and driving litigation projects forward with clients and/or attorneys.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four years of paralegal experience
  • Four years' experience discovery/ e-discovery
  • Three years of experience performing privilege and other substantive reviews on litigation support projects. Comparable combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
  • Three years of experience reviewing electronic and paper materials for privilege on litigation support projects involving paper documents and electronic files.
  • Three years of experience using an eDiscovery review platform (e.g., Clearwell, Relativity) to accurately identify and redact privileged information.
  • Three years of experience researching and drafting responses to interrogatories.
  • Three years of experience obtaining documents for document collection and production.
  • Three years of experience communicating and driving litigation projects forward with clients and/or attorneys.
  • Preferred PLS certificate/ AA
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills and coordination.
  • Demonstrated excellent computer skills in MS Office Suite Products, document review and file management systems, and imaging.
  • Shall have excellent Microsoft Office skills (specifically, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
