Job summary

Evolver is seeking General Paralegals with an active Top Secret Clearance to join our Washington, DC team onsite five days a week. You will support litigation matters, perform research, draft memoranda, and assist attorneys across all phases of litigation.

Strong MS Office and familiarity with legal research tools are expected. Actual salary will depend on skills, qualifications, experience, market and work location.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of litigation paralegal experience with trial exposure.
• Paralegal degree or certificate completed.
• Active Top Secret Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prioritize, and process requests such as document review or requests for advice or legal technical assistance.
• Research and locate responsive information and identify relevant laws, judicial decisions, and legal articles.
• Perform typical Paralegal functions, including moderately complex legal research; synopsizing transcripts of hearings and oral arguments for attorney use; reviewing case related materials; and identifying potentially conflicting statements or areas requiring further investigation.
• Write preliminary drafts of legal memoranda and correspondence; assist in preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law, exhibits, etc.; conduct legal analysis; review documents for relevance and privilege; assist attorneys with all phases of litigation.

Basic Qualifications

• Two or more years of litigation paralegal experience with trial experience.
• Successful completion of Paralegal degree or certificate
• Active Top Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Have a sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.
• Have excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools, such as LEXIS NEXIS and Westlaw.
• Perform legal research and writing.
• Prepare legal memoranda and correspondence.
• Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, including aiding with discovery requests and responses; reviewing documents for relevance and privilege; drafting motions and briefs; organizing exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices; and assisting at trial.
• Have excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and hands‑on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging.
• Consistently demonstrate ability to work as part of a team and manage complex relationships with all stakeholders.
• Consistently deliver highest quality work under pressure.
• Have hands‑on experience or training with ESI tools and general knowledge of e‑discovery procedures and resources.
