Hinge Health in San Francisco is seeking an Engineering Manager for Discovery to lead a team building intuitive care discovery experiences that connect members and care teams with the information and services they need, whether care is virtual or in person.

You will partner with Product, Design, Data Science, and other engineering teams to improve discovery success, develop a technical roadmap, and mentor a high‑performing team while staying close to architecture and code.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing a team of approximately 5 or more engineers in a product or platform engineering environment.
• Strong software engineering background, with experience designing and operating backend services, APIs, and data‑intensive systems.
• Experience owning and evolving production systems end‑to‑end, including architecture, delivery, performance, and operational reliability.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with Product and cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver measurable product or business outcomes.
• Track record of building, mentoring, and developing high‑performing engineering teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Discovery engineering team focused on care search, relevance, and scheduling.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and other engineering teams to improve discovery success and reduce friction from intent to action.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and occasional implementation (~15% time).
• Develop and mentor a high‑performing team with a focus on technical excellence and ownership.
• Define and execute a technical roadmap balancing user‑facing improvements with shared platform capabilities.
