Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with PA State Board of Pharmacy.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience as a certified pharmacy technician in retail/outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions through the pharmacy system and adjudicate third-party claims.
• Assist with filling medication orders and collect medication histories.
• Deliver medications to patients and coordinate with pharmacists and the Prior Authorization team.
• Communicate with patients and families by telephone and in person; participate in multidisciplinary rounds.
• Support inventory management and processing co-pay cards and prior authorizations.
• Educate patients about insurance coverage related to discharge medications.
