Job summary

UC Davis Health in the Greater Sacramento area is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 3 to gather clinical information for prior authorizations and financial assistance, communicate updates to stakeholders, and document all steps in the EMR.

This role also involves drug distribution duties, including processing, insurance billing, filling, cashiering and delivery of prescriptions in the retail pharmacies, with a 100% on-site schedule.

Qualifications

• California licensed Pharmacy Technician
• 2 years outpatient pharmacy technician experience
• Recent experience processing third party billing
• Experience in pharmacy calculations
• Experience using pharmacy information systems and hospital data
• Knowledge of California Pharmacy Law
• Demonstrated knowledge of drug names and terminology
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Discharge coordination and patient coordination (75%)
• Drug distribution and pharmacy operations, including processing, insurance billing, filling, cashiering, delivery (25%)
