Job summary

UC Davis Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 2 to support prescription processing, distribution, compounding, and pharmacy operations across outpatient locations in Sacramento. The role emphasizes accurate billing, payer knowledge, and teamwork within a busy hospital pharmacy setting.

The incumbent will travel to all UCDH outpatient pharmacies and assist in maintaining robotics, inventory, and quality patient care while working 100% on-site in a dynamic health system environment.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of recent outpatient pharmacy experience
• Working knowledge of current California Pharmacy Law
• Current working knowledge of pharmacy terminology, generic/brand names and drug abbreviations
• Working knowledge of current third-party insurances, Medicare Part B and California State Medicaid
• Working knowledge of billing and submitting authorization requests for State funded insurance programs
• Ability to accurately perform pharmacy calculations

Responsibilities

• 90% - Prescription processing and distribution
• 5% - Pharmacy Maintenance
• 5% - Other duties as assigned
