The Pharmacy Technician 3 at University of California- Davis Health is responsible for gathering necessary clinical information to complete and submit prior authorization and financial assistance forms on behalf of the provider.

The Pharmacy Technician 3 communicates and provides status updates to all stakeholders throughout the request process and documents all components in the EMR, providing visibility of prior authorization and financial assistance status to other departments.

Qualifications

• California Licensed Pharmacy Technician
• Two years of outpatient pharmacy technician experience
• Experience processing third party billing
• Ability to perform pharmacy calculations
• Experience using pharmacy information systems and looking up patient data
• Knowledge of California Pharmacy Law
• Familiarity with generic and trade drug names and terminology
• Excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills
