Job summary

UC Davis Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 2 to join the department of Pharmacy in a 100% on-site outpatient setting. You will handle drug dispensing, compounding, robotics maintenance, inventory, prescription billing, and patient payments while training staff and supporting interdepartmental collaboration.

Qualified candidates will have a California Pharmacy Technician license and at least 2 years of outpatient experience, with strong knowledge of third-party insurances and pharmacy law.

Qualifications

California Licensed Pharmacy Technician.
Minimum of 2-year of recent outpatient pharmacy experience, working as a Pharmacy Technician in an outpatient pharmacy setting.
Working knowledge of current third-party insurances, Medicare Part B and California State Medicaid.
Working knowledge of current California Pharmacy Law.
Knowledge of pharmacy terminology, generic/brand names and drug abbreviations.
Working knowledge of billing and submitting authorization requests for State funded insurance programs.
Ability to accurately perform pharmacy calculations.
Ability to operate Pharmacy Information System and other computer programs.

Responsibilities

75% - Drug Distribution.
25% - Maintain Pharmacy/Inventory Control.
