Job summary

Endeavors Inc. seeks a Disaster Human Services Social Worker to join a multidisciplinary team performing impact assessments in disaster-affected areas. You will evaluate how facility conditions affect service delivery and document impacts for communities and providers.

Required is a social work education with license/certifications current for the assignment; expect travel nationwide and deployment readiness, with collaboration across engineers and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field preferred.
• Advanced education in Social Work desirable.
• License or certification required for specific assignment must be current and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Deploy as a member of Disaster Human Services Impact Assessment teams and support field assessment activities.
• Assess and document operational impacts that may reduce access to human services.
• Explain how observed disaster conditions may affect providers and the populations they serve.
• Identify and document service-access impacts involving child care, child welfare, aging and elder care, and other services.
• Conduct interviews and gather information from human service providers, local officials, community partners, and other authorized sources.
• Document observations and human services impacts accurately in designated systems of record.
• Coordinate with civil engineers and technical specialists regarding observed facility conditions.
• Assist the team in identifying service gaps, operational barriers, resource needs, and recovery considerations.
• Support development of assessment summaries, briefings, reports, and other mission products.
• Provide social work, crisis-support, resource navigation, or referral assistance when included within scope.
• Protect PII and comply with privacy, confidentiality, cybersecurity, and records-management requirements.
• Use culturally responsive practices and consider needs of individuals with disabilities and others.
