Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Deputy Program Manager (Contingency) to lead and support FEMA PA TAC VI contract execution, ensuring on-time delivery of mission-critical services across nationwide disaster operations.

The role requires directing staffing, risk management, and governance activities while maintaining strict regulatory and safety standards. The DPM will coordinate with FEMA leadership, CORs, and subcontractors, promote continuous improvement, and ensure performance metrics and cost controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 10+ years of program management experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role on federal contracts of similar scope.
• Experience supporting federal programs, disaster recovery operations, or emergency management.
• Knowledge of FEMA PA program, Stafford Act authorities, and PAPPG requirements.
• Experience with ICS principles and coordinating dispersed teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary deputy to the Program Manager and act on their behalf.
• Oversee day-to-day contract execution and ensure objectives are achieved.
• Coordinate with FEMA leadership, CORs, and subcontractors to ensure performance.
• Monitor performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead surge staffing, deployment planning, and resource allocation.
• Manage dispersed personnel across disaster operations.
• Lead program reviews, readiness assessments, and briefings.
• Support quality management and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in schedules, budgets, deliverables, and compliance.
• Prepare executive reports, dashboards, and status updates.
• Ensure compliance with FEMA guidance, regulations, cybersecurity, and records policies.
• Maintain coordination with program leadership for continuity of operations.
• Support customer engagement and stakeholder relations.
• Promote safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.
