Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking experienced Site Inspectors to support disaster recovery efforts across the United States. This on-call, as-needed role may involve field, remote, or hybrid assignments, and requires documenting damages and supporting recovery planning with engineers, architects, and project managers.

Responsibilities include conducting inspections, collecting data, preparing reports, and coordinating with stakeholders to enable funding determinations and project formulation.

Qualifications

• Experience collecting, documenting, and organizing field-based data.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, mobile data collection applications, cloud-based information systems, and smartphones/tablets.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to travel on short notice as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and desktop inspections of facilities and infrastructure affected by disasters.
• Document damages to public buildings, roads, bridges, utilities, and other facilities.
• Capture photos, measurements, observations, and site conditions for recovery funding programs.
• Develop clear and comprehensive site inspection reports and maintain project documentation.
• Coordinate site visits with stakeholders and communicate inspection requirements.
• Support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs through inspections and documentation.
