Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking experienced Site Inspectors to support disaster recovery across the United States. This on-call, as-needed role involves field, remote, or hybrid inspections of disaster-impacted facilities and infrastructure to document damages and support funding determinations.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in building inspection or related fields, strong data collection and reporting skills, and the ability to travel on short notice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in building inspection, construction, facility assessment, or related fields.
• Experience collecting, documenting, and organizing field-based data.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and mobile data collection applications.
• Ability to travel and work independently or in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and desktop inspections of disaster-impacted facilities and infrastructure.
• Document damages to public buildings, roads, bridges, utilities, and parks.
• Capture photos, measurements, observations, and site conditions for recovery funding.
• Develop clear site inspection reports and maintain project documentation.
• Coordinate site visits with facility representatives and stakeholders.
• Support FEMA and other disaster recovery programs through inspection activities.
