Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking experienced Site Inspectors to support disaster recovery programs across the United States. This on-call, as-needed role documents damages to public infrastructure and supports funding determinations, project formulation, and recovery planning.

Inspectors may work in the field, remotely, or in hybrid arrangements. Responsibilities include field and desktop inspections, data collection, and coordination with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of building inspection, construction, or related field experience.
• Experience collecting, documenting, and organizing field data.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, mobile data collection apps, cloud-based systems, and mobile devices.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities.
• Willingness to travel on short notice; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and desktop inspections of facilities and infrastructure.
• Evaluate damages to public buildings, roads, bridges and utilities.
• Capture photos, measurements, observations, and site conditions.
• Prepare clear site inspection reports and maintain records.
• Coordinate site visits with stakeholders and applicants.
• Support disaster recovery programs through inspection and documentation.
