Tetra Tech is seeking a Cost Estimator to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs across the United States. You will develop cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency and permanent work, and assist with funding determinations.

This on-call role may be remote, field-based, or hybrid depending on client needs. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in construction estimating and a related degree, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in construction estimating or related field.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials, and construction costs.
• Familiarity with modern construction practices, facility assessments, and project scope development.
• Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsabilités

• Assist with project scoping, damage assessment, and cost estimating for disaster recovery.
• Prepare labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Review plans, specifications, and cost documentation for audits and compliance.
• Support FEMA Public Assistance programs and CFR analyses as needed.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and grant professionals to define eligible work.
