Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking experienced Cost Estimators to support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs across the United States. This on-call, hybrid role involves developing cost estimates for damaged infrastructure and facilities, validating scopes, and supporting funding eligibility determinations.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams on scoping, damage assessment, and documentation, with assignments that may be remote, field-based, or hybrid depending on client needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in cost estimating or related field.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates for infrastructure or facilities.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials, and construction costs.
• Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA Public Assistance and disaster recovery programs with scoping, damage assessment, and cost estimating.
• Prepare bottom-up and parametric cost estimates for infrastructure projects and repairs.
• Review drawings, specifications, and documentation for cost validity and compliance.
• Develop and validate project scopes and eligibility for funding.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and program staff.
