Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support FEMA Public Assistance and disaster recovery programs nationwide.

The role involves developing accurate cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent work across diverse project types. The candidate will evaluate damaged infrastructure, develop project scopes, and prepare documentation suitable for audit and program review.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional estimating/related experience
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials, and construction costs
• Knowledge of modern construction practices and project scope development
• Ability to travel for field assignments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA PA and other disaster recovery programs with scoping, damage assessment, and cost estimating
• Perform site inspections of damaged facilities and infrastructure
• Develop and validate project scopes and cost estimates
• Prepare cost analyses for roads, bridges, utilities, buildings, drainage, and parks
• Support development of FEMA Cost Estimating Format analyses
• Maintain project records and documentation in compliance with requirements
