Job summary

Discovergoodwill in Spokane, WA is seeking a Wildfire Relief Specialist to provide comprehensive case management for individuals and families affected by wildfires and related disasters. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or 1–2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments to identify immediate, short-term, and long-term needs of wildfire-impacted individuals and families.
• Develop individualized recovery plans addressing housing, employment, financial stability, transportation, health care, and other recovery-related needs.
• Maintain ongoing contact with participants to monitor progress and adjust service plans.
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster engagement and goal achievement.
• Apply trauma-informed care principles to promote trust, empowerment, and emotional safety.
• Provide crisis intervention, emotional support, and referrals while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Maintain accurate, confidential participant records in compliance with agency, grant, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate service delivery with community partners, Goodwill departments, and government agencies to maximize resources.
