Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Territorial Disaster Training Coordinator to strengthen disaster response readiness across the Central Territory. You will train and mentor staff and volunteers, coordinate training programs, and build a network of qualified trainers.

This on-site role is based at Central Territorial Headquarters in Hoffman Estates, IL, with travel to training events as needed. The position requires experience in emergency management, volunteer coordination, and delivering

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or two years of relevant disaster-related experience.
• Experience with Salvation Army disaster relief is preferred.
• Experience coordinating volunteers and training groups of varying sizes.
• Certified or eligible trainer for TSA EDS/ESC courses.

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor TSA staff and volunteers.
• Coordinate disaster training programs across the Central Territory.
• Develop resources and maintain trainer network.
• Travel to train courses and conferences as needed.
