Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking an Emergency Disaster Services Training Coordinator in Omaha, NE. This role supports training and disaster response across Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota, coordinating with partner agencies and volunteers.

You will deliver EDS training, assist with deployable resources, and help maintain disaster response plans and reports for leadership. A background in emergency management with strong organizational skills is required.

Qualifications

• Three or more years' experience in Emergency Management or Disaster Response, including training.
• Bachelor's degree in emergency management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Emergency Disaster Service department in Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa communities.
• Provide in-person and virtual training to volunteers and staff on EDS materials.
• Assist with disaster response tasks, including supplies, equipment, and staffing.
• Respond to emergencies as directed and coordinate with local partners.
• Build relationships with local, state, and federal emergency agencies and VOAD members.
• Assist the EDS Director with the Divisional Emergency Plan and best practices.
