Job summary

EY's Forensics Insurance and Federal Claims Services practice helps clients recover financially after disasters such as hurricanes, fires, and pandemics, offering grants management, compliance and insurance claims services to public and private sector entities.

The role supports government and public sector clients on disaster recovery funding through FEMA, HUD CDBG-DR, with engagement teams and travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, law, business, finance, emergency management or related field.
• 1+ years of related compliance, audit, or financial management experience, ideally with a government agency or professional services firm.
• Effective project and time management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Work with engagement teams to provide government and public sector clients a variety of services related to the management and compliance of disaster recovery funding made available through complex grant and stimulus programs (FEMA, HUD CDBG-DR).
• Assist with large grant projects for states and local governments, interact with local governments to support project development, organize and analyze large volumes of information, and verify numerous aspects of compliance including transaction testing and programmatic requirements.
• Travel and presence at client sites, along with in-office presence, will be required.
