Job summary

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources seeks a Coordinating Specialist to lead disaster response planning for the Bureau of Behavioral Health, integrating COOP across state agencies and partners.

Responsibilities include managing grants and program reporting, developing and maintaining a statewide behavioral health response network with CBHCs, WV VOAD, first responders, faith groups and volunteers, and coordinating exercises and deployments during emergencies to improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
• Four years full-time, equivalent part-time paid or volunteer experience in a technical or program area that is related to the area of employment.
• Post-graduate education in a field related to the technical or program area may be substituted for the required experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate BBH disaster response planning and COOP integration for statewide operations.
• Oversee and coordinate state behavioral health call line programs, grant management, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with CBHCs, WV VOAD, faith-based groups, local emergency planners, and first responders.
• Plan and schedule program events, drills, and meetings; ensure compliance with program rules and regulations.
• Coordinate deployment of personnel during disasters and ensure collaboration with state agencies.
