Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience with building, mobilizing, leading, and developing volunteer teams to execute a social services program or service.
• A current valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop disaster volunteer teams to implement disaster cycle services throughout the designated region.
• Coordinate regional plans to meet disaster cycle services programmatic vision.
• Build capacity by developing Disaster Leadership Volunteers to meet responsibilities in readiness, response and recovery.
• Engage communities and partners to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters and emergencies.
• Collaborate in matrix management with internal partners to support volunteers and programs.
• Serve as the disaster subject matter expert within the assigned area to maximize Red Cross presence and mobilization.
• Initiate and coordinate disaster relief operations in the region in alignment with the Disaster Cycle Services CONOPS.
