Job summary

University of Illinois Springfield is seeking a coordinator for the Office of Disability Services Testing Center. The role ensures students with disabilities receive allowed academic accommodations for exams, coordinates daily operations, and maintains the exam schedule with updates and notices to professors and students.

Responsibilities include processing intake, approving documentation, and liaising with campus units to uphold policies while ensuring ADA compliance and exemplary service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• One year (12 months) in education, training and/or work experience in the area of specialization; Master’s Degree may substitute for one year.
• Experience with Excel database scheduling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily operations of the ODS Testing Center; collaborates with students, staff, and faculty to meet goals.
• Maintain the exam schedule and provide support to students needing accommodations.
• Review and approve documentation for services and issue accommodation letters.
• Collaborate on alternate text formats and test scheduling; assist proctoring or reading exams as needed.
• Follow up with students and professors to ensure accommodations are implemented throughout the semester.
