Job summary

Lone Star College is seeking a Coordinator III, Disability Services to oversee daily operations and act as SME for disability accommodations. You will coordinate schedules, assistive technologies, and staff while upholding confidentiality and compliance with ADA and Title IX.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of related experience; strong customer service and communication skills are essential as you partner with faculty, staff, and students to ensure accessible services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of Disability Services and acts as SME.
• Supervises, trains, and develops department staff; schedules work.
• Provides high level customer service to students and families from first contact.
• Coordinates information processing within Disability Services, I-Star and VSAC.
• Manages department calendars and controls resources.
• Maintains confidentiality of student records per ADA, Section 504 and Title IX.
• Assists with case management and accommodations including Assistive Tech lab.
• Advise students on accommodation processes for testing and interpreters.
• Takes part in special projects and other duties as assigned.
