Job summary

The Claremont Colleges Services is seeking a part-time Student Assistant to support the SDRC testing center and related services. You will interact with students, faculty and staff, delivering high-quality customer service and handling confidential information with care.

Responsibilities include assisting with admissions testing operations, providing tech help for WiFi and printers, and supporting accessibility needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person and telephone assistance at all service points with a high level of customer service.
  • Identify patron needs and devise strategies for meeting those needs, including referring the patron to a SDRC supervisor when appropriate.
  • Provide information about events, workshops, student groups related to Disability and other resources available to them.
  • Assist students with the use of WiFi, computer login, multi-function printers, and assistive technology.
  • Maintain and manage testing schedule by scheduling exams, filing them accordingly, sending email confirmations and reminders along with helping student fill out the request forms.
  • Serve as a test proctor, scribe, reader, and guide for students with disabilities as needed.
