Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human services program that includes one year of experience in the development or implementation of programs serving the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional experience in the development or implementation of programs serving the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Policy Research: Review laws and regulations to understand their impact on individuals with developmental disabilities
• Grant Coordination: Prepare work statements, review grantee reports, and provide technical assistance to funded projects
• Program Monitoring: Evaluate statewide projects and recommend actions that support the Developmental Disabilities Council goals and objectives
• Community Outreach: Assist individuals and families in connecting with community services and specialized supports
• Collaboration Work: Take part in statewide groups and coalitions that plan or influence disability-related policies
• Training Support: Participate in trainings and help develop materials that support the council programs and initiatives
