Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking an Absence Management Team Lead - Coding Team to oversee multiple teams of examiners and support staff in disability claims adjudication. You’ll monitor workload, provide training, and deliver technical direction to examiner reports while maintaining quality and client relationships.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and deep claims knowledge to steer complex cases and ensure timely, accurate outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred with relevant licenses as applicable.
• Six years of claims experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of claims supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises multiple teams of examiners and/or technical staff for disability claims.
• Monitors workload, provides training, and directs examiner reports on claims adjudication.
• Compiles and analyzes management reports and ensures quality standards are met.
• Acts as second level of appeal for client and claimant issues and resolves appeals.
• Ensures claims files are properly documented and licensed where required.
• Maintains professional client relations and communicates outcomes to clients.
