In the role of Case Manager I, LTD you will manage a caseload of long-term disability claims, applying contractual provisions and medical/occupational records to decide on acceptance or denial and the duration of benefits. You will clearly communicate your rationale with confidence and sensitivity.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to conduct detailed claimant interviews.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize a group of claims with documentation.
• Gather information to evaluate claim credibility.
• Prepare written rationale based on contract provisions and medical/occupational records.
• Process claims for payment and ensure timely benefits.
• Assess vocational rehabilitation opportunities with staff.
• May testify or provide depositions in disputes based on expertise.
