Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, seeks a Disability Advisor to work with students with disabilities to facilitate individualized accommodation plans and access to educational opportunities.
The role includes outreach at WSU events, collaboration with campus locations, occasional evenings and weekend hours, and some travel to local or regional meetings. A Bachelor’s degree and experience with disabilities are required, along with strong communication skills.
In compliance with applicable laws established by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA/AA), work directly with students with disabilities to facilitate individualized academic accommodation plans and access to educational opportunities. Assist with outreach and awareness of disability at WSU sponsored events.
Engage in work at all campus locations and in the community with a sometimes non-standard work schedule requiring adaptability and flexibility. Face-to-face and some virtual, Monday – Friday with occasional evenings and weekend hours. Professional travel (local, regional, or national) on occasion.
