Job summary

NYC Department of Environmental Protection seeks an Administrative Space Analyst to lead architectural staff, oversee space programming, and coordinate renovations across a large portfolio. The role focuses on optimizing workspace quality while reducing leased space where possible, in line with DCAS Space Standards.

The position requires strong supervisory experience, knowledge of building codes, and collaboration with construction services to ensure timely, within-budget delivery of projects

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree in architecture, interior design, or related field.
• Five years of full-time experience in space planning, construction costs, leasing, and space evaluation with supervisory duties.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered per the minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Guide architectural staff in programming agency needs per DCAS Space Standards.
• Evaluate design input requests with Construction Services to align with space goals.
• Oversee preliminary plans and construction documents to meet programming objectives.
• Manage furniture and equipment design, procurement, and coordination for renovations and relocations.
• Support strategic space planning for the DEP portfolio.
• Develop workplace strategies to optimize real estate assets.
• Coordinate with bureaus and budgeting units on procurement and schedules.
• Collaborate with Construction Services and risk task forces on safety plans.
