Job summary

Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina seeks a Director of WIOA Section 166 to provide executive leadership for employment and training programs serving American Indian and Native American participants. You will oversee program operations, budgets, reporting, and compliance with federal requirements.

The role collaborates with Departments, NCWorks, training providers, and tribal leadership to expand career pathways and ensure robust service delivery while maintaining high standards of confidentiality

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in workforce development or related field.
• Experience supervising staff and managing program operations.
• Experience with WIOA/DINAP programs or federal grants preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of the WIOA Section 166 program.
• Ensure compliance with WIOA, Uniform Guidance, and tribal policies.
• Oversee budget, data reporting, and performance monitoring.
• Develop partnerships with employers, training providers, and community organizations.
• Represent the program with stakeholders and manage staff performance.
