Job summary

Horizon3.ai is seeking a Director of Engineering for Webapp and AI Attack to guide strategy, execution, and organizational health of offensive security capabilities in NodeZero. You will lead Webapp and AI Attack teams, partner with Product, Platform, and customer-facing functions, and maintain technical depth to shape decisions while empowering teams to own implementation.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading software engineering teams that build customer-facing products.
• Experience leading multiple teams and developing managers and senior technical leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to set strategy and deliver across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Strong technical judgment in software architecture, automation, and production operations.
• Experience taking complex capabilities from research to reliable production delivery.
• Customer-oriented product mindset balancing innovation, coverage, reliability, safety and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead Webapp and AI Attack engineering teams, defining ownership, goals and expectations across the portfolio.
• Define strategy and roadmap aligning customer needs, product priorities, offensive research, and durable engineering investments.
• Build leadership structures; hire, coach, and develop engineering managers and senior ICs.
• Maintain operating mechanisms to reveal progress, capacity, quality, risks, and dependencies.
• Own organizational health, talent planning, feedback, and succession planning.
• Foster an inclusive, psychologically safe environment where teams can raise risks and learn from failures.
