Position: Director/VP of Sales

Reporting to the CEO, this role focuses on engaging and securing new business contracts with insurance carriers in the U.S. and Canada, as well as sales to large claims companies. The successful candidate will manage sales cycles within assigned accounts, aiming to meet aggressive revenue targets and expand market share in the InsurTech sector.

Key responsibilities include engaging prospects, identifying alignment between PLNAR’s solutions and customer needs, and helping high-level customers envision new solutions. Final candidates will need to provide a verifiable sales track record of 2-3+ years with quota attainment.

Responsibilities
  1. Win new business among top-tier P&C carriers and upsell existing accounts.
  2. Sell into large adjusting, mitigation, and claims services companies.
  3. Support senior leadership on issues impacting sales success and future product development.
  4. Build relationships with key decision-makers and develop insights into their strategies.
  5. Lead face-to-face meetings with executives, including C-levels.
  6. Maintain and grow a sales pipeline and manage account development using Salesforce.
  7. Forecast bookings accurately and develop strategies for new account acquisition.
  8. Collaborate with marketing and executive teams on campaigns and events.
  9. Execute sales outreach strategies and stay informed on industry trends.
Minimum Requirements
  • 5-7+ years of sales experience selling software/services to the property insurance industry.
  • Consistently achieved $1M+ quotas annually in InsurTech sales.
  • Solid knowledge of property claims/underwriting workflows and experience engaging with C-level executives.
  • Experience in small, agile tech companies.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce for managing sales activities.
  • Adaptability and strategic thinking in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Qualities: curiosity, empathy, integrity, high EQ, self-starter, and a proactive attitude.
