Salary: $145,000 - $150,000
The Managing Director, StoryCorps Studios and Brand Partnerships, leads our key revenue streams, working with brands seeking authentic storytelling and sponsorship opportunities. This executive role combines creative vision with business acumen to develop high-value partnerships that leverage StoryCorps' storytelling methodology as a premium service for organizations aiming to share meaningful stories about their people, customers, and impact. The role involves developing strategies to build relationships with creative decision-makers across sectors, transforming storytelling expertise into sustainable revenue streams through brand partnerships and bespoke projects.
StoryCorps Studios is the creative services arm of StoryCorps, applying its award-winning methodologies to tell stories through voices of real people. The primary services include recording and archiving high-quality conversations and producing co-branded audio stories with visual assets to help clients share community voices compellingly.
The Managing Director will be entrepreneurial, responsible for business development to meet or surpass sponsorship and revenue goals, and will chart growth strategies. They will manage a team of three direct reports, oversee revenue and content development, and interface with senior leadership and external partners.
StoryCorps aims to foster empathy through storytelling, capturing voices across America since 2003. We archive recordings at the Library of Congress and share stories via podcasts, NPR, and other media. Our mission emphasizes amplifying underrepresented voices.
