Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina seeks a Director of Value Based Care Operations & Execution to lead end-to-end program delivery across the enterprise, coordinating clinical, network, finance, actuarial, analytics, and operations to achieve measurable outcomes.

This role requires strong cross-functional leadership, operational discipline, and governance, with accountability for execution, readiness for new program implementations, and collaboration with performance and strategy teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 10+ years of healthcare operations/administration experience.
• In lieu of degree, 12+ years of related field experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of value-based care programs and ensure operational delivery.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and accountability for on-time program outcomes.
• Identify and resolve operational barriers to program implementation.
• Establish workflows, governance, and accountability across programs.
• Ensure readiness for new program implementations, contract changes, and model updates.
• Oversee initiatives to improve program delivery and provider engagement.
• Translate insights from performance analytics into actionable operational changes.
• Align processes with contractual and financial expectations and key performance indicators.
• Lead and develop a team responsible for value-based care program operations.
