Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina seeks a Director of Value Based Care Operations & Execution to lead the operational delivery of value-based care programs across the enterprise, coordinating clinical, network, finance, analytics, and operations stakeholders to drive measurable outcomes.

You will establish workflows and governance, ensure readiness for new program implementations, and partner with performance and analytics teams to translate insights into actionable operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 10+ years of healthcare operations experience preferred.
• 12+ years of related experience in lieu of degree acceptable.
• Experience leading cross-functional healthcare programs in Commercial/Medicare Advantage is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of value-based care programs across the enterprise.
• Drive cross-functional execution with accountability for timelines and outcomes.
• Identify and remove operational barriers to program implementation.
• Establish workflows, governance, and accountability across programs.
• Ensure readiness for new program implementations, contract changes, and model updates.
• Oversee initiatives to improve program delivery and provider engagement.
• Partner with performance and analytics teams to translate insights into action.
• Align processes with contractual requirements, measurement methodologies, and financial expectations.
• Prioritize and sequence operational initiatives across stakeholders.
• Serve as escalation point for complex operational issues.
• Lead standardized processes for attribution, reporting inputs, and execution.
• Provide updates to leadership on progress, risks, and mitigations.
• Build and lead a team for value-based care program operations and delivery.
