Job summary

Tampa General Hospital seeks a Director of Value Analysis to lead a comprehensive program focused on cost-effective clinical product selection and improved patient outcomes. The role oversees strategy, data-driven evaluation, and cross-department collaboration to drive optimal product choices and supplier relationships.

The position requires clinical leadership experience, strong budgeting and forecasting skills, and the ability to coordinate with physicians, executives, and supply chain teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level qualifications across clinical disciplines with leadership exposure.
• Experience with value analysis software and data-driven decision making.
• Clinical license required for corresponding clinical degree.
• Strong budgeting and forecasting experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the value analysis process across service lines and departments.
• Oversee value analysis and approval processes for clinical products, equipment, services, and technology.
• Facilitate relationships with physicians, stakeholders, and executives to optimize value initiatives.
• Support executive steering committee meetings for value analysis.
• Direct product/service requests, analysis, education, and implementation of savings initiatives.
• Establish cost savings, quality outcomes, and collaborative improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to standardize products and reduce waste.
• Develop best practices to overcome value analysis barriers.
• Stay current on technology, regulatory, and operational trends impacting value analysis.
• Lead new product requests with clinicians and optimize GPO contracts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to review and implement decisions and savings.
