Job summary

Q-CTRL is seeking a leader to drive US government engagement strategies, shaping policy and funding initiatives to advance quantum computing and sensing for national security and economic interests.

You will build bipartisan relationships across Congress and federal agencies, collaborating with BD, technical, product, and marketing teams to identify opportunities and navigate government decision-making.

Qualifications

• 7 years of relevant experience in government, congressional affairs, public policy, or government relations.
• Proven track record of shaping government decisions, with achievements in policy development or funding.
• Strong understanding of US federal policymaking and authorization/appropriations processes.
• Established network across Capitol Hill, the executive branch, and federal departments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information for government audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute US government engagement strategy, setting priorities for policy and funding outcomes.
• Build bipartisan relationships with congressional offices, the Department of War, federal agencies and state governments.
• Represent company interests in political and policy forums and engagements with USG business development.
• Shape policy, legislation, and funding decisions through targeted advocacy and proposals for appropriations.
• Collaborate with business development and technical teams to identify and secure government funding and partnerships.
• Monitor policy changes and translate them into timely advice for leadership.
• Represent Q-CTRL in industry associations and policy forums to advance priorities.
