Job summary

NAACP Empowerment Programs, Inc. seeks a Director, Unit Capacity to lead unit elections governance and capacity-building across the field structure. The role coordinates with leadership to ensure fair, transparent, constitutionally compliant elections and strengthens unit governance through SOPs and training.

The incumbent will manage election calendars, conflict resolution processes, and reporting, while collaborating with internal teams to meet deadlines and compliance milestones.

Qualifications

• Strong project and deadline management across multiple concurrent unit election cycles.
• Sound judgment and neutrality in handling election disputes and complaints.
• Ability to interpret and apply governing documents (Constitution & By-Laws).
• Relationship-building and customer service orientation with unit leaders and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee unit elections from planning to certification of results.
• Develop election compliance calendars and tracking milestones for all units.
• Coordinate election procedures, eligibility requirements, and standards.
• Support election dispute resolution and related governance complaints.
• Deliver training on election governance practices to units.
• Travel to support elections, hearings, training, and field assignments.
• Produce internal and public reports and maintain records.
