NAACP Empowerment Programs, Inc. is seeking a Senior Vice President of People and Culture to drive talent strategy, performance-driven culture, and organizational well-being. This role partners with leaders and staff to embed distributed leadership, collaboration, and continuous learning across the organization.

You will lead a team focused on culture renewal, equity principles, and a comprehensive people strategy aligned with the NAACP mission and long-term growth objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Master’s degree or JD strongly preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience with payroll, benefits, and 401k plan management.
  • Proficient with HRIS systems and related software.

Responsibilities

  • Align the organization’s structure with transformational principles to improve functionality and accountability.
  • Strengthen performance through distributed leadership and relationship-building.
  • Develop onboarding processes to support growth, health, and well-being.
  • Redefine staff development including emotional intelligence and teamwork.
  • Lead workforce planning with flexible staffing and cross-functional training.
  • Oversee performance management modernization to include emotional intelligence and professional skills.
