Bellarmine University seeks a Director of Tutoring and Summer Academic Programs to oversee the Tutoring Center and Bellarmine's Bridge to BU summer program. The role supports daily operations, training, and program administration to promote student success.

The director will work with the Associate Dean of Academic Services to implement CRLA-aligned practices, develop outreach materials, and coordinate schedules and budgets across tutoring and summer programs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education, higher education or related field.
• Two years of experience working in higher education.
• Knowledge of student development strategies and high-impact practices.
• Ability to work effectively with students at varying academic levels and backgrounds.
• Strong administrative, organizational, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
• Experience working directly with tutoring centers (preferred).
• Student supervisory experience (preferred).
• Experience working with a summer bridge program (preferred).

Responsabilités

• Recruit, train and supervise peer tutors.
• Develop tutor pedagogical practices and professional development per CRLA.
• Maintain CRLA certification.
• Collaborate with campus departments and faculty to support student engagement, retention and success.
• Create outreach, orientations, social media and marketing materials for the Tutoring Center.
• Lead workshops on academic skill development (goal setting, time management, study skills).
• Provide individual academic coaching for students.
• Coordinate tutor schedules and course offerings.
• Maintain tutoring scheduling system and visit data.
• Monitor tutoring center budget.
• Design and maintain a cyclical assessment plan for Tutoring Center services.
• Complete weekly, monthly and annual reports.
