Job summary

Bellarmine University in Louisville seeks a Director of Tutoring and Summer Academic Programs to support the Associate Dean of Academic Services in managing the Tutoring Center, Bridge to BU, and student success initiatives.

You will recruit and train tutors, oversee CRLA certification, coordinate scheduling, and guide summer programs with collaboration across campus teams, ensuring high-quality academic support and measurable outcomes for students.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, higher education or related field.
• Two years of experience in higher education.
• Knowledge of student development strategies and high-impact practices.
• Ability to work with students with varying academic preparation and abilities, and socioeconomic levels.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train and supervise peer tutors.
• Develop outreach, orientations, and marketing materials for the Tutoring Center.
• Coordinate tutoring schedules and maintain scheduling systems.
• Monitor tutoring center budget and report on outcomes.
• Lead Bridge to BU and supervise tutors and mentors for summer program.
