Job summary

Fidelity Investments is seeking a Director, Time Away from Work Programs, to lead strategy, design, governance, and ongoing improvement of its time away programs with a focus on compliance and associate experience.

The role partners with HR, Legal, Compliance, and external vendors to translate workforce needs into program enhancements, driving cross-functional initiatives from strategy through successful implementation.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in benefits, leave administration, HR policy, or compliance.
• Strong knowledge of time away programs and regulations at multiple levels.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives from strategy to implementation.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build partnerships across HR, Legal, Compliance.
• Analytical mindset with data-driven decision making and trend identification.
• Excellent communication, relationship management, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, design, governance, and improvement of time away programs.
• Align programs with business objectives, associate needs, and market practices.
• Monitor performance, utilization, benchmarking, and regulatory developments.
• Partner with HR Shared Services, capacity planning, and vendors for smooth operations.
• Collaborate with Legal and Compliance on policy updates, governance, audits, and risk.
• Manage cross-functional projects and ensure successful policy and system changes.
• Maintain program documentation and governance practices for consistency.
• Use data and reporting to evaluate effectiveness and guide leadership decisions.
• Develop training materials and communications to help associates use programs.
