Job summary

Heartland Food Products Group in Indianapolis is seeking a Director of Training Development to lead the Training and Development Center for operations and distribution. You will design and deploy a new technical training program, align with GMP and quality standards, and partner with leadership to close skill gaps.

This role reports to the VP of Operations and requires a bachelor's in engineering or technical field and at least five years in manufacturing, plus proven leadership and LMS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field and 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience leading a team in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience implementing adult learning programs in manufacturing.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to work independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience using Learning Management Systems such as Cornerstone.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Training and Development Center for operations and distribution.
• Develop and deploy GMP-compliant training and SOPs.
• Create a technical training program to support manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Coordinate with leadership to map knowledge, skills, and abilities for roles.
• Ensure training materials reflect current processes and regulatory requirements.
• Assess training needs and measure program effectiveness.
