Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking a Director of Technology Delivery & Release Management to lead governance, execution excellence, and operational readiness across the technology portfolio.

The role emphasizes delivering reliable, predictable releases and strategic coordination with product, enterprise platforms, infrastructure, and vendors. On-site four days weekly in Newport Beach, CA; Charlotte, NC; or Omaha, NE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience leading technology delivery or release management functions.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing managers or enterprise-scale programs.
• Proven success in matrixed organizations with complex portfolios.
• Strong delivery governance and release management frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of delivery and release managers.
• Establish delivery priorities aligned to strategic objectives.
• Oversee governance, readiness reviews, and go-live governance.
• Coordinate across product, platform, data, and integration teams.
• Drive analytics, risk management, and executive visibility on delivery.
